We all know God’s promises. Most know what belongs to them according to God’s word. Most of us have been praying, making confessions, and even singing God’s promises. However, many of us have yet to manifest in certain areas of our lives. It is not enough to know what belongs to us; we need to know God’s ways. We can’t just come to someone any way we want and expect to receive from that person. The same is true with our Heavenly Father.
Praise and thanksgiving is a way to come to God. Complain, you will remain in the same state.
Psalm 100: 4: 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Another way is to come in faith.
James 1:6-8 Amplified: But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. 7 For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, 8 being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].
We must operate in love in order for our faith to work.
Galatians 5:6 Easy Read Version: 6 When someone belongs to Christ Jesus, it is not important if they are circumcised or not. The important thing is faith—the kind of faith that works through love.
Obey the word and what God tells you to do.
James 1:22-25: 22 But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. 23 For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he immediately forgets what he looked like. 25 But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].
John 2:5: 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.
Be consistent in the word of God for revelation to receive.
John 8:31-32: 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed;32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Be patient.
Hebrews 6:12: So that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.
Come to God with a sincere heart. Ask God to help you. God knows how you are feeling. Pour out your heart to Him. God will meet you where you are,
Hebrews 10:22-23: Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings”.
It pays, to know God’s ways.
Prayer: God I praise you for being my creator. I repent for being a hearer of your word and not a doer. I continue in your word so I know the truth and build my faith and it sets me free. I remain in love for my faith to work. I receive and manifest all God has for me. Through faith and patience, I inherit the promise. In Jesus name! Amen.
