We All Are Unique In God’s Eyes. Comparing Someone To Another Is Not Wise!

We see this a lot on social media, at work, with family, friends, music, and entertainment, with people comparing. God made us all creative, different, unique, and with a purpose to carry out his plan.

2 Corinthians 10:12: ¹² We do not have the audacity to put ourselves in the same class or compare ourselves with some who [supply testimonials to] commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they lack wisdom and behave like fools.

Discover your God-given purpose.

James 1:5 :⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.

Proverbs 16:9: We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.

Jeremiah 29:11¹¹ For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Celebrate and embrace other gifts. We all need each other.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6;18-21 NLT: ⁴ There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. ⁵ There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. ⁶ God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.¹⁸ But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. ¹⁹ How strange a body would be if it had only one part! ²⁰ Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. ²¹ The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.

Testimony: My late mother who has been gone almost for 6 months gave me a lesson. I told her some of the suggestions I liked. My mom told me “I am not you, and you are not me.” I didn’t say anything else. She was right. I was trying to get her to join in with my suggestions, but she spoke up. My mom was herself, she spoke up, she complimented others, and she was comfortable with who God made her to be.

We are all unique in God’s eyes. Comparing someone to another is not wise!

Prayer: Lord thank you for making me for your purpose to encourage and uplift people. I repent of comparing myself or other people with another person. I celebrate my gift and other people’s gifts because we need each other. I walk confident in who you made me to be. I am blood bought and paid. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are marvelous and I know it well. In Jesus name! Amen!
