Turn Or Burn
The phrase came to me while watching a movie,” Sunday Morning Rapture.” It really made me examine myself. It doesn’t matter if you go to church or do good deeds. We all sin, however practicing a lifestyle of sin can forfeit our etenity with God. If we reject God by not obeying His word , we send ourselves to hell. Hell was made for the devil, fallen angels, and demons. God is not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. I can only give what the word says, not my opinions or feelings. The choice is up to you after reading the blog; it is up to you to decide. Out of love and obedience, I must tell people the truth of God’s word, not my truth.
Ekekiel 33:8-9 says: When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 9 But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved.
Practicing a lifestyle that sends you to hell.
Matthew 7:21-23:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Revelation 21:8:8 But as for cowards, faithless people, the unclean, murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars—their destiny will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
1 Corinthians 6: 9-11: 9 Don’t you know that the unjust will not inherit God’s kingdom? Don’t be deceived! Neither immoral people, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor practicing homosexuals of whichever sort, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy people, nor drunkards, nor abusive talkers, nor robbers will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 That, of course, is what some of you were! But you were washed clean; you were made holy; you were put back to rights—in the name of the Lord, Messiah Jesus, and in the spirit of our God.
Forgive quickly so God will forgive you
Matthew 6:15: 15 But if you don’t forgive others, then your Father in heaven will not forgive the wrongs you do.
Love people, but hate the sin.
1 John 4:8: 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him. 10 True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins.
1 John 3:5: 15 Everyone who hates (works against) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer [by God’s standards]; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Proverbs 6:16-19: 16 There are six things the Lord hates—no, seven things he detests:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent,18 a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong,19 a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.
If you sin repent and get back on track.
Proverbs 24;16: 16 For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.
1 John 1:9: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
How do I receive Jesus?
Romans 10:9-11::9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
John 3:16: 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Testimony: I grew up in the church all my life. When the pastor asked Are you sure of your salvation? If you died right now, would heaven be your home? I did not know. My wake-up call is when my brother told me Who do you think you are criticizing me, you are no better. I cried out to God and said, ” Lord, I do not want to be like this.” “I want a real relationship with you, come into my heart.” I have never been the same. I am not perfect, however, I serve a perfect God who corrects me. I ask God for help in areas where I struggle. Developing a relationship with God is the greatest high, joy, and freedom I have ever had.
Prayer: God Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die for my sins. I repent for living my life the way I want to live it. I am not conformed to the world. I am transformed by renewing my mind to the word of God. Lord I am a sinner. I repent of my sins. I believe with my heart and confesss with my mouth that Jesus is Lord. I receive you into my life. I am saved! In Jesus name! Amen!
