It Can Get Tough, But God Is More Than Enough!
Life brings challenges that can be tough to handle, such as the death of loved ones, divorce, financial problems, health problems, relationship problems, political/social problems, and spiritual issues. To navigate life successfully, we can’t do so without Jesus. He understands everything we go through because He took out pain, sorrow, grief, diseases, curse, poverty, and humiliation on the cross for us. God is all we need. God uses people and things to demonstrate His love for us.
God is with us.
Psalm 23:4 NIV: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Isaiah 43:2 NLT: When you go through deep waters,I will be with you.When you go through rivers of difficulty,you will not drown.When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
God is our strength.
Psalm 28:7 NLT: 7 The Lord is my strength and shield.I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
Psalm 27:1 KJV : The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
God is our keeper.
Isaiah 26;3 Amplified: “You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character],
Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
Number 6:24-26: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
God is our joy.
Romans 15:13 NLT: 13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 16:11: 11 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.
God is our shepherd.
Psalm 23:1-6 NLT: 1 The Lord is my shepherd;I have all that I need.2 He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. 3 He renews my strength.He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley,I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.5 You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life,and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
It can get tough, but God is more than enough!
Testimony: God has been my strength during the passing of my dad. God gave me the strength to share the legacy of faith/word of God he has left behind at my dad’s memorial. I was even able to share some ot the funny memories of my dad. Every day God gives me brand new mercy. It seems unreal that he is gone, but God is helping me navigate my life without both of my parents. I am bound by the purpose God has for me and to finish strong.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being everything I need. Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, who went through everything on the cross for me. Through Jesus, I have the victory no matter how tough it gets. I put everything on you, God, to carry it for me. In Jesus’ name! Amen!
