God gave me the phrase while spending time reading and meditating Isaiah 52 again. It is good to be free from things that enslave many of us. However, it is a lifestyle to remain free with the help of God through His word and the Holy Spirit.
Continue in the word to remain free.
John 8:31-32 KJV:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Cut off anything or anyone that causes you to be enslaved.
Hebrews 12:1-2 NLT: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
Matthew 5:29-30 NLT:29 So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Do not look back.
Galatians 5:1 Easy Read Version: We have freedom now, because Christ made us free. So stand strong in that freedom. Don’t go back into slavery again.
Luke 9:62 Easy Read Version: 62 Jesus said, “Anyone who begins to plow a field but looks back is not prepared for God’s kingdom.”
Testimony: It has been two months since my dad has gone on to be with the Lord and it will be a year on the 24th of July for my mom. God set me free by leading me to Isaiah 52. What stood out to me were the first few verses that said “Get up, put on your finest clothes, and free yourself from the chains that are binding you. I am leading you out. Purify yourself through worship. Leave clean and do not go back to bondage.” I begin praising God. Because Jesus took my grief and carried my sorrow; I receive what Jesus has done for me and move forward by faith knowing that I will see my parents again because they believed in Jesus. God also gave me confirmation through my aunt Mary that joy is in heaven. I began praising God again. When I start missing my parents, I think about how joyful they are. I think about the dream my cousin Jasmine had about my dad dancing in his new body. I also think about the dream I had about my mom in her new body smiling. I think about the dream I had about my dad giving me wisdom saying when someone speaks against what God said to speak the word of God and say that I am going into the Promised Land. I am manifesting heaven on Earth through walking by faith, trusting in Jesus finished work.
Prayer:God, thank you for sending your Son Jesus for my freedom and redemption. Thank you for setting me free. I will not go back to bondage. I continue in God’s word. I know the truth, and the truth sets me free. I lay aside every weight and cut off anything that keeps me from eternity with God. I look to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of my faith. I refuse to stay in bondage by continuing to walk in the light of God’s word. In Jesus’name. Amen!
