I was listening to an artist interview on a radio station. The artist shared stories of how certain things that were tempting before are not tempting anymore as a believer. The artist dealt with challenges even as a believer in Jesus and how that person overcame. It really inspired the radio people who were not saved. The artist let them know I am just like you with temptations, experience pain, and challenges. However, the artist stated “I navigate life with the help of Jesus who is perfect.” The artist stated their teenage son and daughter were inspired to live for Jesus by the artist setting an example. The artist would repent when doing something wrong and getting back in Christ Jesus. The artist stated a hip hop artist put in his song “I wonder what this person would do?” The artist was amazed at who was watching their life so much the person put it in the song mentioning their name. The artist stated I would love to have a conversation with that hip hop artist and share with that person the way of Jesus. Through Jesus we have redemption, love, and a victorious life through trusting, believing and receiving Jesus finished work.
Believers when we fall repent and get back up
1 John 1:9 NIV: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Proverbs 24:16: For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,
but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.
Renew your mind through the word of God for transformation
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
God’s glory shows up in imperfection.
2 Corinthians 12:9: 9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
God love towards us is unconditional
Romans 8:3-39: No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 5:8: But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Nothing we can do to earn God’s love. We have grace to live a victorious life through faith.
Esphesians 2:8-9:For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one
1 John 5:4: For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
Revelation 12:11: They defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony; for they did not love their lives but laid them down for him.
Living a life for Jesus is free from the curse, condemnation, and uncondtional love. Even in our imperfections, as we renew our minds to God’s word, walk in love, repent, get back up, put our faith in God we overcome every imperfection and become more like Jesus. People are drawn to God because the Light of Jesus flowing through us.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being perfect in all your ways. Even when I fall, when I repent and get back up in faith, trusting in Jesus, you manifest your glory in me. Your love is unconditional. Because of your love, no matter what state my life is in, nothing can separate me from your love. Through you, I am victorious. In Jesus’ name! Amen!
