We all have something that we would like to change. We get excited the first time we write down the vision, get a revelation from God, and tell others about it. However, when it does not work out the way we want it to, people who we thought would support abandon ship, and it is taking longer than we want, we begin to lose hope. God has already done his part through his word; however, to receive, we have to be consistent in holding on to what God tells us until we reach our destination.
Remain in joy by trusting in God to receive from God.
Psalm 126:5-6: 5 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
Nehemiah 8:10 Easy Read Version: 10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy the good food and sweet drinks. Give some food and drinks to those who didn’t prepare any food. Today is a special day to our Lord. Don’t be sad, because the joy of the Lord will make you strong.”
Hold on to the word of God and what He tells you. Do not quit.
Galatians 6:9 : Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Luke 8:15 NLT: And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.
Be patient and diligent. God’s timing is perfect.
Hebrews 6:12 NIV: We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews 10:35-36 Amplified: 35 Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward. 36 For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.
God will do His part, if you don’t lose heart!
Prayer: Thank you, God, for what you did for me, sending your Son Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice. Now I am victorious through trusting and believing in Jesus. I do not lose my joy because I hold onto your word, I am diligent in the word, and I am patient, so I can receive what Jesus has already done. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
