Adam and Eve were the first people God created. Adam was able to name animals, walk in the spirit, fellowship with God, and take dominion. God made a mate suitable for him, Eve. God told Adam in Chapter 2: “Every tree in the Garden of Eden you may eat, but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, do not eat of that tree.” The day you eat of it, you will surely die. Both died spiritually and eventually in the natural. The serpent put thoughts in Eve’s mind to question what God said. Eve talked Adam into eating the forbidden fruit, and they were driven out of the garden, away from the presence of God. Many people blame Eve for eating the forbidden fruit. However, when we question what the word of God says, we live our lives the way we want, and walk in our own truth, we are eating of the forbidden fruit. We are made in the image and likeness of God. If it is not in line with the word of God or His nature, we should not partake of it, or we will die spiritually, which manifests in the natural.

Prayer: God, thank you for creating me in your image and likeness. God, I repent for doing things my own way. I submit to God. I resist the devil, and he flees. I cast down every thought, imagination, and everything that is not like you. I bring every thought in line with the word of God. I keep my heart with all diligence because it determines my life. I commit my ways to God becuase His ways are higher than my ways and His thoughts are higher than my thoughts. You know the plans you have for me, plans to prosper me, not to harm me, to give me a hope and a future. Thank you, God, the author and finisher of my life story. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
