Courage: Mental or moral strength to persevere and withstand danger, fear, and difficulty
My dad and I were walking and he spoke the phrase God gave him. The greatest people in the Bible and well-known people conquered fear. If we want things to come alive in 2025 we must go in the strength of God.
Mediate the word for strength,
Joshua 1:8-9 NlT: 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Put on your spiritual armor of God to fight against evil and fear.
Ephesians 6:10-18 NLT:10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you can stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Do not go back out of fear:
Philippians 3:12-14 NLT: 12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Keep your focus on God.
Hebrews 12:2: 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
To flourish you must have courage!
Prayer: God, thank you for the power and strength you give me each day as I lean on you. You did not give me the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. I repent of letting fear keep me stagnant. I gain strength through mediating your word day and night, putting on my spiritual armor daily, shifting my focus on Jesus, and moving forward. I have the victory! In the name of Jesus! Amen!
